Social Surfaces +0161

Join me in Manchester on 12 and 13 October 2019 for a free weekend of talks, street projects, workshops and film screenings on city life and its appropriations.

I will be hosting the programme of talks for the weekend, with a bunch of great people who think about and do things in cities. From the organiser Adrian Burnham: “Our common thread is a commitment to both investigating and making interventions that reveal and question hidden boundaries: […] In short, how our cities ‘talk’ to us, with us, and about us.”

The event will feature participants such as subvertisers Jordan Seiler and DR.D, academics and part-theorists such as Javier Abarca, Richard Brook and Susan Hansen, and artists-practitioners Jazoo YangJan Vormann, Carrie Reichardt, The White Pube, Oliver East and Mark Titchner.

  1. looks like a really interesting set of events. Too bad I found about it so late…would you be repeating it in the future?
