The £20,000GBP grant will allow Tom, Kostas and I to organise 3 in-person events in Melbourne, Nicosia, and Uppsala in 2025-26 to develop the USRN project, which we have been working on since 2023. We are planning 1.5 days in each location in small study groups, focused on different themes: graffiti removal and urban visual governance in Melbourne, drawing and mapping surface stories in Nicosia, and surfaces as sites of capital and contested visual economies in Uppsala.
